A simple meditation practice

a simple meditation practice

Here are the basic steps:

Find a quiet and comfortable place to sit, either on a chair or on a cushion on the floor.

Sit with your back straight and relaxed, with your hands resting on your lap or on your knees.

Take a few deep breaths, inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth, to help you relax.

Begin to focus your attention on your breath. You can either focus on the sensation of your breath as it enters and leaves your nostrils, or on the rise and fall of your belly as you breathe in and out.

If your mind begins to wander, simply bring your attention back to your breath. Don't judge yourself or get frustrated, just gently refocus your attention.

Continue to focus on your breath for as long as you'd like. You can start with just a few minutes and gradually increase the time as you become more comfortable with the practice.

When you're ready to end your meditation, take a few deep breaths and slowly open your eyes. Take a moment to notice how you feel and to thank yourself for taking the time to practice.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions or if there's anything else I can do for you.
